A Blog (short for Web-log) is an online tool that allows the user to post their thoughts, links, and media, and open up a discussion board for feedback. Edublogs suggests that their site can be used for eportfolios, collaborative classwork, online journaling, discussion or problem-based learning.
A Blog can be fully public or restricted to a select audience. Your discussion boards can be anonymous or identified. You can have complete control over the content or share control with others. You can be notified of any changes by e-mail.
Depending on how you have your settings, Edublogs may require students to have a user account, so refer to Usernames_Passwords before beginning a project.
Edublogs offer an online tool for users to post their thoughts, links, and media.
